Hi, I’m Averil Price, the Legacy Coach
Transformative Coaching and Mentoring Leveraging 31 Years of Public Sector Leadership Experience.
I am proud to have enjoyed a successful career in local government serving at four different local authorities in Surrey, Essex and East Sussex. Over 31 years, I progressed from Health & Fitness Manager to Deputy Chief Executive and have coached and mentored others throughout that time.
Established in 2018, Avie Consultancy Ltd. provides a range of consultancy, coaching and training support. We weave together the threads of our experience and ambition to deliver tailored coaching journeys that empower public sector leaders. Whether you’re stepping into a new role, refining your existing skills or transitioning into retirement, we focus on igniting your potential, nurturing leadership excellence and bringing your unique story to the table. Your narrative matters. I can help you embrace your individuality, amplify your impact and achieve your vision.
I also work as an Associate for SOLACE, the UK’s leading network for public sector and local government professionals. In 2013, I established the SOLACE Springboard Programme to support rising managers in local government aiming for senior leadership roles. I am facilitating a similar programme now in Wales and regularly deliver courses such as ‘Aspiring to be a Head of Service’ and ‘Aspiring to be a Director’ plus Action Learning Sets.
My speciality is the delivery of Legacy Coaching, a specialised form of executive coaching that focuses on helping leaders plan, develop, and implement a lasting impact within their organisation and beyond. Legacy Coaching is not just for those approaching retirement. Any change of situation is an excellent time for you to celebrate what you have achieved, to recognise the positive impact you have had on others and to plan what comes next for you.
I live in Crickhowell, within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park providing excellent opportunities for long countryside walks. I love writing, enjoy curling up with a good book, and playing an active role as a Trustee of Theatr Brycheiniog..
